Effective January 1, 2011, National Housing Trust (NHT) contributors may apply for a loan against NHT contributions that are being held on their behalf, in order to finance the deposit on a residential property which will be funded by way of an NHT mortgage. Annual contributions refunds will be applied for the repayment of this loan. The loan will be available to fund the deposit for ‘scheme’ as well as open market purchases.
